Balsaloc
WATER BASED EMULSION
Water-based emulsion that dries to a clear colourless film. It is an excellent heat -seal adhesive and is used to attach Fibafilm, Litespan and Airspan.
Apply Balsaloc to the model framework with a scrap of flexible plastic sponge and allow to dry, then iron on the covering. A very thin coat rubbed in to the surface of hardwood (e.g. ply), when dried, improves the adhesion of iron-on coverings to the wood.
Being water-based, Balsaloc is not effective on plastic surfaces e.g. iron-on films. It is most effective when used on porous surfaces.
If Balsaloc is spilled, wash off with cold water immediately. Once dried the material cannot be removed with cold water. Dried Balsaloc can be removed with Solarlac thinners or acetone. Balsaloc must be protected against frost - if allowed to freeze it becomes useless.

Prymol
COLOURLESS LIQUID FOR USE ON SOLARFILM
Colourless liquid for use on Solarfilm, Solarspan, metals and some other plastics as an etch primer. After drying it improves the adhesion of many iron-ons, adhesives and paints to the treated surface. Applied to Solarfilm before applying an overlapping piece of Solarfilm, the overlap seam will be stronger, it will resist the entry of fuel and its edges will not lift even after long use.
Apply Prymol with a small pad of cloth or tissue. Use enough to moisten the surface, then allow to dry for a few minutes. When spraying paint, mask off as normal, spray a thin coat of Prymol, allow to dry and spray the paint as normal.
Packaging All in 110 ml. tins.
WARNING SOLARLAC, CLEARCOAT AND PRYMOL ARE FLAMMABLE.
DO NOT USE ANYWHERE NEAR A SOURCE OF IGNITION e. g, heaters,

Clearcote
SYNTHETIC RESIN COATING
Synthetic resin solution. Dries to a transparent, colourless, glossy, flexible, fuel-resistant coating.
Used for sealing wooden surfaces in engine bays, tank bays, wing-seat areas (and anywhere there will be fuel or fuel residues) BEFORE covering the model with an iron-on covering. When the covering is applied , the adhesive and the dried Clearcoat melt and fuse together forming a seal at the edge of the covering. This prevents fuel or oil getting under the edge of the covering. Even if some fuel or oil gets under the edge, the Clearcoat prevents it soaking into the wood.
Also applied on Solartex - one coat for a satin finish - further coats add more gloss.
Clearcoat must not be used on enamels - it softens them. It contains solvents that destroy most plastic foams.
